Unfortunately, in contemporary society, these may not always be readily available or forthcoming. Considering that these are also central in keeping yourself motivated, you must learn how to find a way to obtain that encouragement on your own through satisfying yourself.
Abusive and dominating people lower your self-esteem and bring you down. Get these negative people out of your life as quickly as possible. Surround yourself with positive people and those that think as you do or as you wish to. Duplicate their example. Smile abundantly and think happy thoughts.

If this still seems to falter, get training or education to support your knowledge and craving to get what you desire.

And, if at the beginning you were just doing something for the simplistic material reward, you will also come to the gratifying realization that the fulfillment, satisfaction, and self-achievement you receive from actively reaching your goal is a much more enjoyable reward, and that will keep the drive within constantly burning brightly.
