Since muscle is your body strength and they are mostly made up of water, you may end up losing muscle while you think that you are losing excess fats.

The following guidelines will ensure that you only lose weight without losing your muscle.

Restricted diets should be avoided as this will restrict the amount of calories you intake into the body.

To lose weight without losing muscle only requires a small reduction on the amount of food that you intake as calories. This requires one to only use the slow methods which are steady on weight loss as they ensure that muscle is not lost together with the weight.

Your diets and meals should be balanced and they must contain high amounts of proteins because proteins have the ability of preserving the muscles during weight loss and repair them after rigorous exercises. Thus as you reduce the other food types gradually, the proteins must be maintained to a normal level to ensure that they are enough.

The other food groups must be gradually be reduced to avoid shocking the body to enable it to develop mechanisms of working with minimal foods.

Thus to lose weight without losing muscle you need to ensure that you do not starve your body. This can be done by frequently eating many small meals spread throughout the day. They may be 5-6 meals and should also be accompanied with plenty of water to help in toning and hydrating the muscles.

During the nights, you should make sure that you significantly reduce the amount of proteins as they may be stored as fats because the body has lower or no metabolic processes going on. This helps in significantly to lose weight without losing muscle.

Exercise also forms the back bone of losing weight without losing muscle as they help in building the muscles while your body is losing weight. The kind of exercises that you perform will also determine whether your muscles will be maintained or not .exercises such as cardio activities should be encouraged as they help in weight loss without losing the muscles.

They should therefore be increased gradually as the body gets used to them. They can be sandwiched between weight lifting so as to maximize on weight loss.

Since aerobics cannot by themselves help to lose weight without losing muscle they need to be boosted by activities such as weight training to help boost the whole process.

Weight lifting helps in shaping of our body muscles as well as increasing the metabolic rates of our bodies.

Weight lifting there’re requires that we develop a routine whereby we are required to adhere to this routine in order to lose weight without losing muscle. Thus weight training must be brief and rigorous to enable our bodies to adapt to it to ensure that it’s effective.
